Oh man..
I have never expected my results to fall so greatly..
How do i fare in this semester??

A plesant note..

Last night, at about 10 something..
I received a sms from one of my best friend, Patrick..
He is serving the dreaded NS now..

The SMS goes as follows:

Awe..I'm so glad to have receive this sms..
At least it tells me that he's in tekong for NS..
And he asked about my result..
I'm not sure if i've done well..but i do hope no sup. papers..
I'm sure most of us in TP will know wad's that..
I must admit that i heaven really put in a good amount of effort
for this semester..but it's not a easy one either..

Anyway, how often would we get a sms
that ask about 'how are u' like this??
I seldom receive this type of sms..
but when i do, i really appreciate the sender..
even though he/she may have sent it to the wrong person..
Pls, dun sms me u msg the wrong person after u have sent a sms like that..
I'll be so heartbroken..Serious.. =__(
However, if u wish to put a cheer/smile on my face,
and u heaven any fancy sms for me, just send a halo, how're u..
Erm..that is when we are having holidays or heaven met for a long time k..it would seem funny if u msg me this when i have just met u or we'll be seeing each other tml..
Any way..I would like to thanks everyone who has ever sent me a how're u messages..
I really appreciate it..

A wonderfuL surprise..

Well, i was rather busy occupying myself reading a novel yesterday.
Can y0u imagine it?? The whole day?!!
Haha..i was keen on reading in the past..
becoz it was such a joy reading stories then..
but now, i'm sure most of us hate the sight of books..
perhaps up to the extend of even a brief mention of books irks you..
Well that's how i feel a few years ago..
until now, i was willing to give novels another try..
i have tried reading novels before but i never really finished it..
cos i think it gets a little boring in the middle..
so sort of read most novels halfway..
And usually read short stories now..

That's until recently,
when i chanced upon a book titled The Magicians Gulid..
It started off the story with a very nice description..

Then, i pluck up my determination again..
The determination to read a novel..
And i'm proud to say that i have recovered that confidence..
The confidence to finish reading a novel..
I had just finish reading two novels in the past 3 days..
It is actually a trilogy..
I'm not sure if anyone has heard or read of this trilogy..
Erm..it's the borrible trilogy..
Book 1: The Borribles
Book 2: The Borribles Go For Broke
Book 3: Across The Dark Metropolis

I've just finish book 1 and 2..
Now starting on book 3..
but someone torn some pages off the book 3..
Sigh..gonna know the ending..
It isn't really a fantasy i guess..
It seems more adventure genre..
Anyway, it's a good adventure..
The borribles are actually children..
Children who have pointed ears..
living on their own wits, cunning, stealing..
A live of freedom for these children..
But it's a strange world there..
Cos they are fought with many dangers..
Like the STUPID police SBG who are always after them..
Rumbles who are their No 1 enemies..
And Borrible-Snatcheres who torture Borribles and make them steal for them(snatcher)

The most hateable character in the story got to the police..
WHY??
Cos they are the law-enforcers..
and they are just like any other police..
Torturing their criminals..
Can u imagine..police torturing a child??
How i wish someone would sue till their pants drop..
Or maybe even throw them into shark infested oceans..
Whatever they do (the sharks), i dun care, i just want them out of my sight..

If You like adventure genre books..go read this..
i'm sure you will see why i hate them so much that words can hardly describe my deep-rooted hatred for them..
To me, law is just something meant to be twisted and broken..
Not that it doesn't meant anything to me..
But it's so strict and restricts ur way of life..
And i dun like that..Never..
Though i wun be a law breaker..
But i also dun like laws too..

The bash..

Foreword:
Readers beware: This is gonna be a very long post, how long?
Longer than an essay, but shorter than a thesis..

Well, we were supossed to gather at the benches
near the HSBC centre to sign the card i brought for him..
Then before anyone arrived to sign the card,
he actually discovered me..
and saw me re-reading the msg i wrote on the card.. = (
so he kinda know i buy him a big card..
(It's supposed to be a secret..!)

When almost everyone has arrived,
we shoot off to the Seoul Garden at tampines mall..
We were given the rather near window seats..
ok, not so near..but at least i can see the mrt..haha
so the seating arrangements goes like this..
and i was seated next to my crush..
can't really expressed those kind of gladness,
excitement & feeling of being seated just beside her..
Then, we were free to take wadever we wanted to eat off the shelf..
She queued behind me..so i passed her a plate..
thanks was all she said..but i wasn't expecting it..
nonono..dun get me wrong..
but 'thanks' is not necessary in friends much less she's my crush..
I 'concorted' a special mix of salad for her..
was expecting her to decline the offer,
but was really overjoyed when she almost finished the salad.. = D
hmm..If there's something i enjoyed being in the place..
it's got to be we (Yes, me & Crush) sharing a piece of fish..
how nice..okok..shan't get there..
When xiu zhuang came, she took a seat next to my crush..
so i kinda shift to another table,
we are at different table..but side by side.. (^^)
Haha..It's really ok, xiu Zhuang..
I made another bowl of salad for myself too..
It was great, just add toppings and eat the stuff..
I was cooking chicken meat, hotdog, fishballs mainly..
But was very glad that Pei Ying & Jun Wei cooked some food for me..
Thanks to the two of you.. = ))
Even though Zhi Jie is the birthday boy,
he still helped to serve drinks to some of us..
and peel prawns for some of us..

Gladys offered to scoop some icecream for mE (so touched)..
but i declined her offer becoz i was too full..next time perhaps..

Then we went to purchase tix to 'new police story'..
Initially, only a few people catching it..
but becos it's his birthday, all of us abide and watch new police story..
But since the shows starts at 4.00pm,
we spend about an hour playing at arcade..
Pei Ying and Zhi Jie enjoy challenging each other..
pitting their skills against all the games..
like air hockey and a fighting game..
needless to say, luck was on zhi jie side and
he shone like a winning champion most of the match..
or maybe, it could be his skills..
i, really am not sure..
While he continues to play games,
Me, Xiu Zhuang, adeline Yap and my crush went to select cakes..
We went to four leaves and breadtalk
but decided on a slice at four leaves..
I know he likes choco, but my crush have the final say as always.. = X

At slightly past four, we head to the cinemas..
Initially planned to sing a happy birthday song in the theatre..
but who knows, the previews were rolling when we went in..
Sigh..another backfiring of plan..
Nevertheless, we quickly get seated (in case the show starts soon)..

In the movie,
there were several flashbacks to explain why everything happens..
The storyline or plot is kind of new..(4 stars)
The characters:
good people..(3 stars) not very convincing..LoL
bad guys.......(4 stars) great shooting & yan dao leader..
Okok..i never liked cops since i was young..
always felt that they were hurting/killing people
and making the lifes of doctors difficult..
The settings is done wonderfully, nice job..(4 stars)
The design of the settings and outfit were style..(4 stars)
The Jackie Chan stunts..nice but boring..(2 stars)
The overall acting..the cops didn't died in style..(3 stars)
The ending..was as expected but dun like it..(2 stars)
it wasn't a really happy ending, with almost all the baddies died..
I was hoping for all the cops died..Haha..LoL, hey it's just a movie..
dun get so serious..doen't matter if all the police in the movie died..
So overall rating: 3 stars out of 5
My verdit: It isn't a really bad movie,
just that i dun really like Jackie's type of movies..
It's same old style everytime..but hey..
he cried in a few scenes..that's kinda worth watching..
LoL..

Most memorable parts?
Hmm..i liked the design of the bomb..very nice and innovative..
okok..i think i liked their online games as well..
it seems very fun..
the convention cetnre of hong kong is nice..
kind of like our suntec city..
but nicer than ours..
ya..that's about all i can recall of the movie and interesting part..

After the movie, i give him the cake and thinking it was a watch,
he actually shake it..luckily the cake is still intact when he opened it..
with so many backfiring of plans, i gave up..
He suggested singing the dreaded birthday song in the lift..
which all of us joyously sang..
he didn't get a chance to open the gift though..
anyway, he did msg me about the card, gift and cake..
thanking us for the effort we put in..
In short, he was happy..
And we have complete our mission..

A present for zhi jie..

Well, xiu zhuang and i meet up to find a suitable present for zhi jie..
haha..i've never thought a present was difficult to find than now..
everything that we felt were suitable for him, he turned down..
he told us that we should not get:
-decorative items,
-books,
-bags,
-shirt, etc

See that's how difficult to get something for him..
nevertheless, we still managed to get a something for him..
with the effort of those invited..hope he likes it..

The first few days of HolidaYs..

It's actually quite contradicting isn't it?
When it's normal school days,
i lament on not having enuff time to enjoy and refresh myself..
but when it's holidays,
i complained that there's nothing to do..
Sometimes humans are just so contradicting, isn't it?

With more and more time on my hands..
even watching tv and listening to radio
seems to be ineffective at killing time..
so that's when i wish-think again..

Well, here's a little poem i thought of this morning..
i dun think it's really fantastic..
but i do hope people who see this poem
gets the point i'm putting in it..

De-StreSS..

well, after examz..
all of us will go and find some stuff to do..
FoR mE, it's orchard timE..
Went to orchard with adeline..
chatted on the bus happily..haha..

I went orchard to get stuff..
~not telling in case that person knows, then no surprise..~
After that, off i went to the bookstores at borders and taka..
At Borders, i can search poetry there easily..
surprisingly, more books on love poems surfaced,
while poems on friendship diminished..
Read quite a few masterpiece of love and friendship poems..
It was pretty impressive..
They were very meaningful and simple to understand..
Shows mE how meaningful a poem can be craft with simple words..
Jus in case u dun know, i'm rather into poetry..
No, not for a motive *wink*..
Maybe i'm a little more poetic..
Did try writing poems a few times,
but somehow not very satisfied with it..

At kinokuniya,
i checked out some of the storybooks or novel in this case..
I'm more into fantasy than any other types of novels..
Esp magicians..any faries, unicorn..the list goes on..
Recently got to know of this book in the bookshop..
It's titled "The magicians' guild" by trudi canavan..
it is just volume 1 of the trilogy..

Its about a girl that discover she has magic powers only recently..
well, she's a thief that lives in the slums..
so she too was surprised that she has magic powers..
but she heaven learnt how to control it yet..
thus she feels lost..
one of the magician caught her friend..
to save him, she had to surrender herself to the magician..

its a pretty interesting story..
the author has painted a vivid picture of the setting that u can imagine the scene unfolding in front of you..
it's too marvellous a story..
Just wish the library has it..
Then can read it over slowly..

spend about half an hour on question A1..
thought will never going to finish the paper..
haha..true enough, only finish like 9/10 of the paper..
nevertheless, still quite lucky..

OC 2 eXam..

You can't believe how much revision time i spent on this paper..
i spent a lot more time on my revision for this paper than any other paper..
but i still can't remember today on a lot of stuff..
sigh..
i even't do it at the last sec till i was ordered to stop writing..
that shows how much time i really spent on finidhing the paper..
It's hard like a nut case..
wonder why they set papers that are so hard..
anyway, with 4 papers down, i still left with 1 paper..
I'm sure it won't be a easy paper..
Pmic is never easy..
but at least we got notes for the exam..
that's still not too bad..
just hope i won't be retaking anymore papers..
Hopefully none at all..
Got to work on my final paper already..

Fpath ExAm..

Sorry to my friendz who were with me this morning..
i think i stress all of you up..
really very pai sei..
but i heaven finish reading and memorising the notes i made..
been busy making mindmaps yesterday..
To tell you the truth, i was totally blank out by the questions i saw..
Almost every part of it i can't answer..
Dunno how it will turn out to be..
but i think fail is a high posssiblity..
maybe it will be the second retest paper i sit for..
the first one? Aimm of cos..
Perhaps i could even win hands down this sem for being the most unprepared student..haha..

Hmm..feeling quite depressed and demoralised,
i sent a sms to perfect 10 requesting for a song..
it was all request live then..

here's actually wad i typed..

think i'm gonna fail..

The song somehow cheered me up..

HPI eXam..

I juz can't believe it..
I heaven reli prepared a lot for HPI exam..
Been slacking..
But the exam is so much better than the previous HPI tests and quizes i sat for..
Kudos to Mr Humphrey ko for setting a easier paper.. =D
I must admit that before i enter the exam room i'm so panicked..
but after i skim thru the questions, i can finally heave a sign of relief..
A sign of relief that i can make it thru HPI..
Now, got to get set for fpath paper tomorrow..

Aimm Exam..

It's a very blurry morning...
Got into the wrong exam room..
Haha...
Fortunately the lecturer tell us that we went to the wrong venue, our correct venue is just next door.
My seat was so upfront and near the wall that I practically can't see the clock.
Its my first paper, Aimm..
Hadn't really prepared for it but no choice, got to go and finish the paper.
It was so stupid, I spotted many of the questions including one 20 marks question...
But I could not recall about it.
The questions fthat were from tutorials also appeared less than normal.
In short, i think i would fail the paper.

One down, four to go..
HPI paper is up tml.
Wonder wad question is gonna come out...
Never judge wad is inside Mr Humphrey Ko's mind...
Haha..
Juz hope that we can at least score a 50 out of 100...
A pass in other words.

Exam stress??!

Dun know why, but i feel really not myself today..
feel like i want to do lots of stuff,
like movie watching, window shopping..anything
but S-T-U-D-Y-I-N-G!!!
Juz can't concentrate..
So i went out to orchard for the perfect 10's lanyard giveaway..
hoping to be the first twenty to go off with the hilary duff and alter bridge CD..
however, didn't manage to..i think i'm the thirty something..jus so sad..
all my wishful thinking i guess..
should have went to queue earlier..
sigh..but anywayz didn't really like the artistes anyway, jus want to get freebies..
haha..if the lanyard got picked for the winning num..
then it would be so great..
will get $500..then, can buy all the CDs i want..
ok..i dun think i will be so lucky..so..stop wish-think le..
and start studying b4 its too late to save my grades from falling into the F zone..
TP fellow mates should also be piling books over their heads i think..

Movie marathorn..

As my best friend, Patrick, is going to NS today,
and being an avid movie-goer,
he called for a massive movie marathorn yesterday..
before his freedom is locked in some camp..
Hmm..he wanted to watch like 4 movies in a day..
Movies like One Missed Call, New Police Story,
White Chicks and Resident Evil 2: Apocalypse..
Having to cope with studies and revision lectures,
I can only manage to join him for White chicks and RE 2..
The two movies are really enjoyable..
funny & exciting respectively..

Here's a nutshell of the white chicks and RE 2..
White chicks:
Its about 2 black cops who always screw things up..
And their latest assignment is to protect 2 white chicks..
who were some hotel or estate heiress..
Along their escotion, the two white chicks got facial injury..
thus they decided to stay at the hotel instead of partying..
Then, the 2 cops undergoes a plastic surgery to pose as them..
Its so hilarious they way they act as white chicks..
I practically laugh from the start till the end of the movie..
The revelation?? All well that ends well..
I would give 4 white chicks out of 5..
If you need something to cheer you up, this is the ONE..

RE 2:
This movie is rated NC-16 with the tag: Violence and Nudity..
If you're hoping to catch a glimpse of Alice or Jill being in the buff..
I'm sorry to tell you, there wasn't much to see..
Dun get me wrong..But i think i saw nothing about these hot babes..
Instead, i saw some nude female zombies walking around racoon city..GroSS
So the story continues where it left off..
The umbrella corp opened the hive again..and needless to say,
the zombies from the HIVE were released into the racoon city..
Thus the whole city has to be quantatined and sanitized..
Alice was awaken when the quantatine period just begin..
She got together with a group of people(Jill, a reporter and another cop) and went in search of a way out of the infected city..
Apparently, a professor wishes to find her daughter in racoon city..
So he made a deal with them, if they could find his daughter,
he could ensure their safe exit out of the racoon city before it got 'sanitized'.
Cut to the chase, they manage to escape together with her daughter..
But he became a zombie and got sanitized by sunrise..
It does seem like alice got a new power..
Overall, the movie seems like one distorted one..
occasionally switching from present to TV reports back to present..
Rather perculiar directoring i would say..
Hmm..i still prefer the first one..
Rating: 2 zombies out of 5..
It's not really worth watching it unless you are into Alice and Jill..
Or there's isn't any other better movies around..

How often have we thought that it would be a nice day today
and it turned out worse than ever?
Have you ever thought that the test is so chicken feat
but only to be horrified when you got a big 'F' for the test?
Or have you ever felt that the other party is interested in you too,
only to realise its all your wishful thinking?
Sometimes, it's just wishful thinking on our part..
But who's to say, we cannot 'wish-think'??
