LooKinG BacK @ 2004...

Yr 2004 is a really memorable one for me..Many Joys, Unhappiness, Sadness had filled my heart at certain point of time..

Course of study:
I'm glad to know i got into my course of first choice..Meaning i might be able to go into..
research & development of drugs if i further my studies..However, my grades have been constantly plummet..affecting my gpa..but perhaps i should count my blessings as i do not need to repeat any subjects..

Media in singapore:
News of the two media corporations is merging brought a sudden surge of despondent to me..I have always thought that channel U and channel I (previously known as TV works) brought pride and honour to singapore for its radical ideas of the variety shows, the dramma serials, comedy/sitcoms, informative shows, etc..It's been 4 years of entertainment from them..A very superb, wonderful, eventful, interesting, entertaining, fun, and touching 4 years with us..I never thought singapore can do breakthrough in anything except maybe the SIA and airport..But they proved that we are more cappable of other things if we wanted..by wining prestigious awards..and getting more nominations than channel 8 over the same past four years..They showed us that if u set ur goals, go for it..its achievable!!..Even if u failed later, the experience is what that matters more than anything else..so i just want to THANK YOU U & I!!! thank u for the amazing 4 years u brought to us..without u, life would never be the same again..

Tsunami disaster:
It's really sad that such natural disaster should happen at all..the christmas day was barely over when this disaster strikes..I dun really read the papers, so i got to know this information from my friend who reads news everyday..I'm really sad that such events should happen near new year..it brings a sad note to the end of the year as well as start of the year..I'm not in the mood for party anymore..when i wish people happy new year, i'm actually doing lip service i guess..i dun really mean it anymore..i have utterly no mood for wadever celebrations..who cares if its a new year?? as long as this disaster don't come, i can stay at year 2004 forever if it need be..i dun care about 2005..whichever year doesn't matter anymore when thousands have died..I know i can't help out much as there's little i can do to help, i donate some part of my allowance but its only a small part..though i dun think i help much, i do hope it will help them to tide over the disaster..For all that i could do, i hope and pray that the families affected by tsunami will get better soon..and live life as normal..i hope, i pray, all be well soon.

EvE of X'mAs..

U know christmas is around the corner..
when everyone starts carrying lots of plastic bags..
filled with goodies and all nicely wrapped presents..

I, for once, receive lotZ of goodies/presents on christmas..
Like from zhi jie, Joyceline, adeline yap, rebecca, Xian Qi,
Xiu Zhuang, kevin john, the auntie on level 6 &
a mystery person..
haha..wonderful presents they reli were..
Just wanna thank them lotx N lotx(hope u all reading this)..
Also thanks to the people who have been sending cards to me:
-zhi jie (how touching to know that..)
-xiu zhuang (cute card)
-mei fang (nice drawing..)
-edwin (even though the card is still in singpost..sigh)
-wei rong (marks and spencer card..wa...)

Well, i receive a sms from Edwin asking me out..
how nice to know that i have a friend who remembers me..
this season.. tis wonderful season..Yuletide season..
so naturally i agree to go out with him..
even though its only the two of us..
but hey man, we do a lot of catching up..
how nice to share our recent 'life' to each other..
couldn't get tix to kung fu hustle..so we shop around heeren..
and chat for a long while in spinelli coffee cafe..

How fast time flies and its already time to head home..
i brought a little something for him..
a thing that i think he will use..
okok..its actually a cup with writings and picture..
the writings include 6 rules to be happy
and a snowy cute figure on the other side..
i brought it at taka..

take a couple of pictures here and there..
here's the nicest of the lot..
haha..only one cos my technique isn't very good..

XiAn Qi BirthdaY..

I think i'm the first one to wish her happy birthday..
since i met her on the bus 69 to school..
and the funny thing is, i didn't saw her..
until she shouted at me excitedly..
''wei, u didn't see me ah??''
then, i was surprised to know she's there..
i'm not pretending k..i swear..
i thot she boarded the earlier bus..
so after a moment of stunned, i said..
''happy birthday''..and she replied thanks..

as i was with my friend on board the bus,
we didn't talk much..and i left with my friend..
we meet at the LT again..
and thats when jez pass her gift..
i passed mine with adeline yap, gladys, kah chiah..
so there..she didn't open mine..
not sure why..
maybe to avoid the ppl talking..

anyway, we have our lunch at cafe cartel..
restaurant type of place..
western food..
christmas atmosphere..
food serving some large, some small...
on the whole..quite a wonderful experience..

then lesson again..
sigh..
end of the day reach and we're all tired out..

Loneliness..

In this festive season...
its always feeling so weird to watch couples
walking down the walkways of shopping centres..
hugging, smooching and kissing..
As if we are not in existence at all..
But that's a very common phenomenon..
and we've no right to stop it..
After all its an expression of love for them..

Singles like us..
hate to admit it..
but we actually longs for the perfect one
to come along into our life...
Afterall, gods dun create us to be alone..

I was at a seminar..
where this lecturer told us that
our hearts have a secret compartment.
A compartment till now
they have not found the function of it yet..
They believe its for a special something..
Perhaps its for the special feeling..
The feeling of L.O.V.E

Just like Bridget Jones..
She found her happily ever after..
so do i wish all singles(including me of cos)..
Found ur(my) happily ever after soon..

Strawberry Vs sea urchin..

hmmm..sea urchin Vs strawberry..
which one is better??
Sea urchin is full of pricks on the outside..
but nice on the inside..
Strawberry is harmless on the outside..
and sweet on the inside..
A sea urchin can fend for itself..
but a strawberry can't..

Most of the times i feel like a strawberry...
always being nice and harmless..
but incured the warth of ppl..
and got bleeded by it..
kind of hurt to know that..
sometimes being nice isn't reli a good thing..

At times, i feel like a sea urchin..
shutting myself from others & friends..
protecting myself from the hurt they could cause me..
but is it reli helpful..
most of the times it is indeed helpful but not always..

So..
Sea urchin or strawberry??
i still can't decide..

WaD a strange wednesday it is today..

Ya, strange wednesday..
Got out of bed even b4 alarm rings..
Then got off to TP at an so early timming..
then realise my handphone not working again..
then in lecture hall, she isn't sitting next to me..
suddenly feel so weird..like so lonely..
then remember lab sitting with nick..
sigh..he always like to sacrasm me one..
then blur blur during my lab..
and he laugh at my foolishness..
do all the wrong things that were not supposed to be done..
lucky Mr teong didn't scold me..wad a gd lecturer..
wait for about 1.5 hours for my turn
to see the service personnel at the nokia counter..
then after about 5 or 10 mins left already..
when all the others b4 mE see her for like 20mins at least..

I thot monday is supposed to be a unlucky day..
since its also the blue day for most of us..
Since when have it shifted to wednesday??
especially today??

SuMmInG iT uP..

For the past one week,
i have never felt so strange b4..
my classmates are always arranging her to sit beside me..
It is great but i think she detest sitting next to me..
up to the extend of 'jokingly' said i'm the =light bulb=
yeah, maybe i reli am not wad she hopes for..
I read up on our horo and it said we are incompatible..
I would like to disbelieve it..but i think it's true now..
Nevertheless, its good experience to sit beside her..
=lamp-post= or not, i appreciate the experience..

How its like??
Hmmm, uneasy & out of place..
yea..dunno why but i do felt that..
i tend to lean towards the wall..
so as to get away from her as far as possible..
even though i'm seated beside her..

It indeed is strange..
I can't figure out why..
but..
will this matter persist?
does it reli matter?? No!!

i also watch bridget jones diary with her and adeline yap..
another arranged seating arrangement..
the movie is fabulous..
It show Jones being more mature after the incident..
And true love does exist even though u're fat and smoke-aholic..
an dguys does fight between themselves for gals..
Wahaha..Singlehood is no longer Jones name..

Chalet FuN..

Yeap..It's my sec 4 gathering at the chalet again..
How i look forward to this gathering..
Where i can find out wad
some of my friends had done in the past year..
as well as to exchange juicy gossip..
It was fun gathering together once every year..
but this year, the people that came grew lesser..
In fact less than 12 attended this year..
Sigh..perhaps each of us are busy now..
nevertheless, i hope they getting on well..

the people gathered tis yr are :
dexter, edwina, me, michelle, sandra, teck chin,
wee cheng, wei xiong, yong chia, yong hua, zhi huai..
me, wei xiong, tech chin, michelle are in the same poly..
but we seldom meet in poly..strange..?!
the rest are in JCs..
It's just so good meeting 'old friends' again..

Though it' still couping up in the chalet..
Playing mahjong and cards..with $$..
Sharing games we know like 7-up, black magic..
verifying rumours, updating crushes..
disturbing sleeping bodies, keeping people awake..
getting not enough sleep, etc..
is part and parcel of chalet gatherings for my class..

Games we discussed...:
black magic: colour-->black..
7-up: say 'up' instead of multiples of 7 and anything to do with 7..
wad time is it? : count the total points and put in international time..
bang bang bang: whoever toks dies..
country/name game: a name after the last letter of the previous country
That's about all the game i can remember or recall..
Hopefully the ways they are played is correct..

But what matters most is everyone enjoyz each other's company..
How i wish time would have pass more slowly..
more slowly..
or maybe just stall there..
A chalet gathering once a year is too short a time..
too short to relive those wonderful moments..

1st dec aka Singapore idols Final showdown..
Who's gonna win tonight?? Anybody's guess..
All i heard from the radio is that
taufik's fans are gonna wear white..
while sly's fans are wearing pink..

Talk about idols huh..
Who would have guess SI would create such a phenomen here?
Who would have guess SI would catch on with people of all ages?
Who would have guess SI would make people glue their eyes on tv?
Who would have guess that all the action is coming to an end tonight?

But one thing's for sure..
A winner will be crowned tonight..
Everybody's keeping their fingers crossed
hoping that their idols will win tonight..
One that will make all singaporeans proud..

All the best sly and taufik..
Though taufik sings better than sly..
I'll still vote for sly..
cos u got the mass appeal or X-factor..
Jus like clay aiken..haha..
